Fission Consulting was started to expand on a specific industry need identified through real project work: to provide specialized project management and data transformation for M&A IT projects.
Seeing the requirements our M&A and enterprise partners had during these complex IT initiatives, Fission set to work establishing a team of project managers, execution specialists, and data migration experts.
Our team carries over 100 years of combined experience in IT initiatives, and our consultants help clients realize true ROI on their IT projects, establish more effective project structures and strategies, and reach more successful project go-lives.

Founder & CEO
Brandon is the Founder and CEO of Fission Consulting. In 2018, after years of leading IT transformation projects and helping them succeed, he identified the niche opportunity to better serve IT initiatives specific to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
In his role as CEO, Brandon focuses on something critical to Fission’s success: our clients. He works to form strong partnerships with our clients, to gain an accurate and effective understanding of client needs, and to help lead IT initiatives toward success and customer ROI.
He has spent more than 15 years leading IT transformation projects ranging from ERP implementations to IT carve-outs, across a multitude of industries. Through this experience, he has developed a strong network of delivery specialists, along with the skill-base to establish Fission’s proven delivery methodology.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance from North Park University and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Brandon “BK” Krause
Director & Operations, Co-Founder
BK works as the firm’s Director of Operations. His consulting experience is focused on project management for IT carve-outs and transformation projects, ensuring clients were provided with the structure and strategies necessary to support their goals and teams. BK continues to refine the project management mindset, templates, and methodology that Fission utilizes today. His day-to-day role consists of enhancing Fission operations to expand services, hire and train new team members, and improve client communications and services.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Communications from Calumet College of Saint Joseph.
Chris Kapcar
Chief Technology Officer
Chris’ impressive history driving growth and leading tech development speaks for itself. He was an early hire at Redbox, where he built and ran teams during its hyper-growth stage. He transformed and scaled technology at EZLinks Golf, and then led teams and optimized product delivery and culture at both PeopleScout, and PeopleReady. With Chris’s visionary leadership, ATOM and our tech capabilities are positioned to deliver effectively and efficiently on client projects.
Pete Ditmars
Pete Ditmars is VP of M&A Advisory at Fission Consulting. His background is in SAP technical and project management. Prior to joining Fission, Pete built and managed a PMO and built an M&A line of business. Pete has led numerous ERP migrations to and from private data centers and various public clouds. His M&A project experience includes large multinational ERP and full Infrastructure carve-outs to both new companies and mergers into existing companies’ IT landscapes.
Pete has a wealth of business and IT knowledge and experience from years of leading IT initiatives for companies spanning a wide range of industries. He will meet with stakeholders to fully understand and document the business requirements, so a solution can be built collaboratively to ensure customer-defined success criteria are met.
He earned undergraduate degrees in General Engineering and Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Tim Magdziarz
Tim focuses on developing and executing delivery strategies for clients pursuing ERP system carve-outs. He focuses on developing and executing delivery strategies for clients pursuing ERP system carve-outs and complex IT transformations. He has more than 25 years of systems strategy, development, and implementation experience across numerous industries including: manufacturing, professional services, food and beverage, industrial products, consumer products, distribution, and insurance.
He earned undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from DePaul University.
Sayre Wilkin-Dalby
Chief of Staff
Sayre is the Chief of Staff at Fission, providing direct support to the CEO and helping to plan and execute big-picture strategies. She is adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal team members, and is always available to lend a helping hand. Within the company, she works closely with the operations team to manage internal workstreams, improve processes, and undertake special initiatives. Sayre has more than 15 years of experience as an office manager and senior executive assistant for burgeoning companies.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Elmhurst University.
